Beautiful Journey

Hei lovely people!
I have to admit I have this notebook fever nowadays that I want to end. It has been ages I have made cards and I am pushing myself to do it!
I will start a week of Cards for myself and will blog about them also. I hope this works for me. and It is starting today :D All of you who are struggling with crafty mojo can play along <3

So I tried Silks by Colour Arte for the first time. I bought a few of their colors because I had seen some amazing tutorials and I was really excited to make something using them. They are acrylic colors with a glaze or a shine (shimmer!?)

I got a few of these notebooks from a local store because I thought they are amazing for altering. They are hardcover notebooks, come with either heavy black journaling pages or white sketchbook ones. So I made a cover of one of those notebooks using the silks.

Note that the colours vary in the pictures. That is because the paint has a glaze and it appears different in different light settings :)

I did a crackle stenciled background using a Moroccan motif stencil and used Prima resin and metal embellishments. The sticker was perfectly the size of the the frame (from Love and Lace, Bo Bunny). To balance the colors of the sticker, I added a few roses that were originally grey and colored them deep red.

I stamped with white at a few places to balance the white gesso and silver microbeads.

To match the blue/purple theme, I have the notebook lined with similar colored printed paper on the insides as well as the back cover. It is a beautiful book. I loved using the silks!

Hope you liked the post!
I hope I am able to create a good, blog-worthy card today to blog about it tomorrow! :D

Until next time!
