First Project for 2016- Part II

Hey there everyone!

I am continuing on with the second part of the project I did last week. If you missed it, you can read all about it here. It was on a MOPPE drawer chest from IKEA that underwent a color change during my first post.
There are a few black spots in the lower most drawer from my inky hands. I painted over it again to give it a neater look by the end.

Thank you for all the amazing ideas in the comments, I figured out pretty much what to do with it. Since it is a lot of work, I did the front face of it this week. :) I'm sorry winters got me all lazy. I really don't want to move in this weather :p (it is -19C)

I started off with Mod Podging some Tim Holtz paper. It gives the chest amazing dimensions. I absolutely love the paper!

distressed the paper before mod podge.

For the middle drawers that have diagonal papers, I took out some wooden alphabets I had. I haven't used them in a long time now so thought of an alternate idea :-) Thank to Amna's post. It gave me a guilt attack! :D

Using Distress Spray Stain in Tea Dye and Mica Powder in Rust and Gold.

Dying the alphas and then using heat tool to dry them. Spraying some mica (mixed in water) to add a little shimmer.

After I arranged and glued the alphas on the drawer, this is how it looked like.

I am really happy with the result. The only thing that is left is probably the knobs that I really want to add to it. I will probably leave it for later and then update this post whenever I get hold of the knobs and the drill.
So the chest sits on my table like this and I am loving it so far! Are you?
Please let me know through your comments!
